ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The white gold earrings feature incredible Asscher-cut diamonds. The diamonds are light brown (champagne and cognac) in color and graduate, not only in size from smaller to larger, but in color from lighter to darker. The Asscher-cut diamond is still considered one of the most prestigious of all the cuts, and it is easy to see why. The earrings are assembled, each in 3 parts, connected by affixed rings on each unit. The earrings move freely with delightful dazzle. They attach to the earlobes with posts and firm silicone tube backs.
- The Asscher cut is the first cut to be patented. Joseph Asscher developed the cut in 1902.
- The Asscher cut was also called the "Royal" cut, because the worlds two most famous diamonds, the Cullinan I and the Cullinan II are Asscher-cut. They are in the royal scepter and royal crown of the British crown jewels.
